Q Do I have to live or work in Columbia County, Florida in order to open an account with Peoples State Bank?
A As a community bank, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of people and businesses located in Columbia County and Lake City, Florida. In order to keep our focus locally based we do not conduct business out-of-state, internationally, or with customers outside of the counties that border Columbia (Alachua, Baker, Hamilton, Suwannee and Union).
Q How do I set up Direct Deposit of my payroll check?
A After you have opened a checking account with our bank, you will receive Peoples State Bank's routing and transit number and your account number. If your employer participates in a direct deposit program, simply provide this information to the human resources or payroll department at your company, and your direct deposit will usually begin within thirty days.
Q How do I set up Direct Deposit of my Social Security check?
A After you have opened a checking account with our bank, you will receive Peoples State Bank's routing and transit number and your account number. Simply contact us, and have your Social Security Number and account information available to set up your direct deposit right over the phone. If you visit our bank to open your account in person, we can do this at the time you open your account.
